I am thinking of relocating to Houston this June from San Ramon California because of the non affordable houses prices in the Tri-Valley ( Best 3 cities in the Bay Area - San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton ), here you are working to pay the high rent, I know that I will pay the price of the weather.

I am thinking of Sugar Land or Cypress or Katy ( Any other suggestions ) , I would like to narrow down my search to a few particular areas so that I'm not all over the place in my search. based on the city I will start looking for near by job in my field ( Finance / Accounting ) , ARE THERE AREAS I SHOULD STEER CLEAR OF HONESTLY?

My obstacle is:

I need to rent short term in an area where there are excellent High & Middle schools for my 2 sons to attend. BUT I don't like the idea of moving twice in a year so I'd like to rent in the same area that I buy.
My home search includes new construction 4 bedrooms $200,000-$250,000.
I love trees and lots of grass.
I need an area which have also soccer & swimming clubs as my two boys are playing the two sports.
I need an area(s) that is "evenly" diverse.
I really like family oriented communities with great parks and lots of children activities.
Any help would be appreciated.
A list of places to avoid would be great.

Get into the Seven Lakes High School zone near Katy

AHFC is the best soccer club right there too

Look in the Katy area, its due west of downtown about 15-20 miles.

I don't think he has the budget for SL. So it's Katy or Cypress. Kingswood is great, but not as diverse.

Spring more woodsy, a bit farther out than the other choices.
