We are thinking of moving to the Hamilton el school area. I got the mixed review of the school at great school website. If someone happen to go to that school, I'd love to get a real situation and review of that school as well as the neighborhood. Thanks.

What do you want to know? It's one of the best Elementary schools in Cy-fair along with Sampson, Black, etc..
Go to Cy-fair ISD website and search for the school stats and funding. Compare them to other schools. We looked at stats like "at risk percentage", ethnic make up, GT program funding, standard test performance. We also looked at the current zoning lines and current school capacity, along with the 10 year projected population growth in the zoned areas to guesstimate if there would be any potential zoning changes in the near future. This info is available from cfisd if you look hard enough. We did a lot of research and decided to move to a neighborhood zoned specifically to Hamilton Elem, Hamilton Middle and Cyfair High. As far as neighborhood, where are you looking? If you are looking for new homes, you will find it hard to stay below $450. Only new neighborhoods there are Parc Lakes ( $500+), White Oaks ($500+), Kluge Lakes ($650+), Alden Woods($400) and a new subdivision going up right next to Hamilton Middle ($350+). There are also older homes in the Longwood and Lake Forest Glen subdivisions that are very nice. Keep in mind also that the homes zoned to Hamilton on west side of Eldridge goes to Cy-Fair high and on the East side of Elridge goes to Cy-Creek high. All neighborhoods mentioned above are on west side of Elridge and zoned to Cy Fair high...

My kid goes there. We're pretty happy. Also everyone in my subdivision seems extremely happy. What kind of bad reviews did you get?

According to HAR, 7% of the school is economically disadvantage with a racial breakdown of White - 640, Black - 35, Hispanic - 142, Asian - 127 and everyone else under 60.

sounds like a typical suburb parent's dream yet what's wrong here? Give me a break. You sound like a troll wanting to toot your own horn.

The school is a 10 on GreatSchools.

Bye
