New Spring Branch Education Center breaking ground soon. Close to Bendwood Park. I have family in Galleria Area and can't stand it over there.

The traffic is usually terrible. I don't like being close to Westheimer. Not many parks, unless you fight traffic to get to Memorial Park, takes a long time to get to I-10. I do like that it is closer to Museum District/Hermann Park. I'm just not much of a shopper and restaurants aren't my biggest draw for choosing a place to live. I lived in the area for 3 years and didn't like it. Some people love it, including my mother.

You are correct. Whoever said that area is in decline must have meant incline

I completely disagree with this, Spring branch is definitely on the up and up. The area is booming there is high priced housing being built everywhere you look. I'm not sure how you can say that the area is in decline.

i live next door to tanglewood and would prefer meyerland. although the homes are nice, its pretty expensive and to me not worth being surrounded by all the crowding and traffic. with so many businesses, much of the traffic consists of tensed up people going to or leaving work. meyerland is more chill, quieter, with more laid back residents imo. all the nice areas to shop, run, bike jog arent that far anyway.

How do you define Spring Branch?

I define Spring Branch as being bound by Beltway 8 on the west, 610 to the east, Clar Rd./ Hempstead Hwy to the north, and I-10 as its southern border. It's made up of smaller areas such as Spring Valley an Westview.

Hilshire Village and Spring Valley have had new construction, but its got to be pretty new if anywhere in the city of Houston part of Spring Branch.
