HEB crawfish 97 cents per pound this weekend. Does anyone know if they are any good at the San Felipe location? Or maybe Bunker Hill? Are they discounted due to quality or is it a supply thing?

Thanks

They were having a fire sale on steaks awhile back at heb and they all cooked up tough and old tasting.

Buy the cooked one there and they usually are awesome. But you have to go to the popular ones. Not all HEB are the same.

Same deal for the steaks. They put different meats in different stores. I have found the better locations have better meats (you can see the pattern) so it pay to drive further.

Surely it couldn't be the cook or buying choice cuts?

I've only had an issue once in years of purchases with heb and after informing them they gladly refunded me the money

The pantries typically don't have that great of choice but I think the main contributor to possible differences in turnover

Fortunately, I don't need to go to HEB. Since the Tax-day (4/17) flood, crawfish had moved in at the front of my home There's probably more now with today's rain

Unfortunately, ah-hem... I'm allergic to crawfish
