I am going to Austin on Thursday afternoon coming back on Sunday hope it stays much further south in northern Mexico then we will not get much rain if any.

A lot of it is common sense. Don't go out cruising in the storm, looking for video footage.

Best thing about these storms is you can find out which areas flood and which don't. If you're moving or thinking of relocating, going out after the storm and driving around various subdivisions and neighborhoods is a good plan.

This will be my first major potential flood event. There were a few intersections that flooded on my route to/from work but that was just for a few inches. This could be a lot more.
