Can anyone tell me if these neighborhoods are nice and safe? Wortham Grove, Wortham Park, Wortham Landing, Wortham Falls, Wortham Estates, Fallbrook Greens. There are houses in my price range and they are zoned to good schools. They also have low taxes so I’m wondering what the catch is. I tried to search but I didn’t find much current information.

Granted it was 10 years ago, but I used to live in a neighborhood adjacent to the Wortham neighborhoods. It was very much a sweet spot in terms of safety, affordability, and schools. In fact, I liked our elementary school up there better than the school my kids transferred to in Cinco Ranch. The building facilities maybe weren’t as pretty, but my kids had fabulous Kinder and 1st grade teachers that had worked at the same campus 20+ years.

Moved to Wortham Grove 5 years ago. We walk dogs at night, no worries. The park is great. When the road is finished access to everything will be wonderful.

Every couple years some bunch of thieves goes through here stealing wheels off trucks. I'm talking about the entire Next Door community.

The subdivisions were built by people not from Houston. They did such a good job setting it up they went bankrupt. We like it because it's high and dry. In times of serious flooding we don't even have water in the curb.

Right now, it's a HOT mess with the construction at 290. 290 is trucking along keeping people employed which is a good thing but good grief! Be done already!

The Wortham and Crossroads neighborhoods are nice. Cyfair wins on the north side on affordability and still good schools, IMO. I don't know what they do, but they do it right. The Wortham neighborhoods are zoned to Adam which is good and Cyfair High.

If you intend to buy here, do it before the 1969/6 overpass is complete. The prognosticators say prices will go up when the overpass and 290 are finished.

Do you have any idea when it is supposed to be finished? We won’t be moving until summer so hopefully we won’t be too late.

Not to worry. They are years behind schedule. TxDot tells us it is supposed to be finished by the end of 2019.

With interest rates set to rise 1% next year I doubt prices will be rising anywhere.

Oh wow, they so easily change their schedule on a fly! This is quite impressive
Few months ago they were telling that end of 2018 is set in stone and guaranteed
