Are you saying that the people that needed ventilators didn't need it after a few weeks?

Yes. According to this the average length of stay is 10 days.

Everybody is going to get it soon or later and there's no vaccine

I don't see what benefit we get by slowing it down
People have been talking about "flattening the curve" and why we are doing for months. If you can't bother to read the news, or don't trust it, that's your problem. City-data is not here to explain basic public health concepts to the willfully ignorant.

My wife has been studying medieval literature and culture lately. Apparently, there was a subset of the population even then who thought they could get rid of a plague by with celebration and wine. Apparently didn't work out too well for them. We'll see how it goes for the folks these days who are out and about at all the restaurants in town.

I’ve been eating out when I can. I’m not sorry. I’ll keep doing it.

I’ll make this clear: I no longer even slightly care if I get COVID. I’m in my 30s and run/work out every day. I’m at very low risk.

I’ll still wear a mask to go to the market and places where people gather because I wouldn’t want to give it to anyone. But I no longer care if I get it.

This pretty much describes me as well. I assume I’ll get it (if I haven’t already) and I’m not the least bit anxious about it. Those who are high risk should continue to quarantine, but I’m ready to resume living.

If you get it, you're more like to give it. That's the way it works. Even with every precaution, you're more likely to give it to someone if you get it. Your attitude is what will make others get it, and get it faster. Thanks a million.

Your best argument is: “What I think is so obvious I shouldn’t have to say it”???
