We called an appliance repair company a few weeks ago to service a few of our appliances, maintenance issues. We wanted to do all this because we will be in San Antonio while our house is on the market. About 5 days after the visit our neighbor noticed a leak outside of our home. It turned out to be the hose in our refrigerator that connects to the wall. It had a small tear and was slowly leaking water. Luckily it was caught soon enough so there will not be mold issues. I live in a high-rise condo so our neighbor had some of the water leak out of her wall. My wall is still cut out as the area is drying. Prior to this we have never had an issue with leaks of any kind. Last week when the tech pulled out the refrigerator to vacuum the coils it was dry as a bone. Now we are faced with a 2000 dollar bill. We really like the tech but know he is responsible although inadvertently. How best to proceed? Please advise.
