Yes there are snakes in Elyson. There are snakes everywhere in Texas if you look for them. I've seen snakes in my yard in the middle of Houston(inside the Loop), and the neighborhood Facebook and Nextdoor pages frequently have questions about snakes. They aren't a problem, the vast majority are not venomous, and help keep the area free of rodents and bugs.

You should seek help for your fear of snakes, since there aren't any places you won't find them.

I don’t know about Elyson area but in general there are snakes everywhere- lots of harmless ones but also the venemous kind too. Most of the time they’re harmless grass or garter snakes but every so often I hear about a copperhead someone finds in the yard.

I understand there's snakes everywhere. I'm asking if people have found them in their yards and stuff as opposed to more established urban areas that you wouldn't likely see them at all.

If your phobia is that great, maybe consider a townhouse w/no yard or buy a house in an area where you can concrete over the majority of the yard. I have found snakes in all my yards and I’ve lived ITL for a very long time.

We live inside the Loop, near the Heights, and people see snakes here all the time. My parents have seen them in their yard in Katy for decades, including baby rattlesnakes. A friend in Bunker Hill Village kills 5 or so copperheads every year. Being in an urban setting is no guarantee of not seeing snakes.

Is there a reason why he's seeing so many? Maybe he lives near a river or a lake that houses a lot of copperheads? It seems like a lot. Some friends that live in Missouri City say they've never seen a snake since they've lived there. Also another friend that lives in Corpus Christi says in the 20+ years they've lived there, they seen a snake maybe 5 times.

Which is why I asked if anyone in the new home builds at elyson have seen snakes over there in their yards and stuff. I understand there's snakes everywhere in texas, but I'm currently looking at new build homes specifically elyson to see if locals have had any issues as opposed to more developed areas.

He does live near a ravine, which is good copperhead habitat.
