Timewise and Mobil Mart are completely separate things with separate companies. Some Timewise locations happen to use Mobil Gas pumps not sure if that’s the confusion

Just FYI... would you believe that Norway has tons of 7-Elevens?! Yes, they are all over the place, and the Norwegians love to eat their hot dogs! Also, there are a lot of Circle Ks as well!

The Chinese love it too. They apparently have rap groups with whole songs about it where they talk about getting food there late at night and how cheap it is haha

Houstonians love it too. They apparently started a thread about it on city data talking about how their coffee is good and they entered the Houston market.

Lol you're hilarious man

Enjoy your 7/11 thread. I'm sure there's a lot to discuss.

Who does convenience stores? What are you buying? Even pre-pandemic I rarely went inside of one. Maybe for an occasional lottery ticket. Thanks to my Yeti mug I bring my coffee/soda/water from home. I’ve aged out of beer runs, cigs and Cheetos. I do Buckeyes pretty regular but that’s not the same category as a 7-11 at an intersection closer in town.

Sadly, this traditionally is the case in Houston since our c stores are traditionally subpar until recently. Slurpees, 7 eleven coffee and other items are essential.

Essential items? Mine are milk and diapers now, lol. And I must have aged out of Slurpees too. My kids like them but they’re not hip to the Slurpee vs Icee debate.

Ps- back in college we’d get our Big Gulps (remember those) and fill them up with Icee and a cheap drink like Andre or Strawberry Hill and make our our frozen drinks. Good times.

The convenience store industry is obviously quite profitable.

The first 7-Eleven was establised in Norway 35 years ago. The Reitan family (the wealthiest in the country) now has the brand rights for Scandinavia.

Cirkle K bought Statoil's gas station chain back in 2012. Statoil (now called Equinor) is a large Norwegian petroleum company.

Sadly the Slurpee is not what it used to be…. Back in the day I’d make a special trip to 7-11 for a cherry slurpee. It hasn’t tasted the same in years, maybe decades.

On another note I haven’t seen any new 7-11s pop up in my area.
