Hi. This is a general posting to dog owners in Cary. I'm sure other areas have this same problem, but since I live in Cary.....and that's where I walk my two dogs.....this message is intended for the good people of Cary.

I am absolutely amazed at how many dog droppings I see along Lake Pine and Two Creeks Road. Come on, folks! Have some respect for your neighborhood and for your neighbors. No one likes finding dog droppings on their front lawn....or along the public sidewalks where people walk.

For all of you offenders reading this posting.....and you know darn well who you are....there's no excuse not to clean up after your dog. None. Nadda. Zippo.

Carry a little plastic bag with you and take some responsibility for your dog. Don't pretend like you're not aware of what your dog is doing.......and don't look away and hope no one's watching. I mean, really, who do you think's going to clean up your dog's mess?

Thanks for your time.

Tell me about it! My neighbor (in Cary too) got fed up and put a shovel in her front yard with a big sign on it and several grocery bags. It's worse for her I guess because she's on the sidewalk side of the street, but it drives me INSANE when people do that!!!!

It's going on everywhere. In my neighborhood in NW Raleigh I've seen dog poop everywhere. My wife and I ALWAYS pick up after our 2 dogs and we make sure show people that we pick up after ours dogs. It annoys me to no end to see dog poop in the middle of the sidewalk. Take some pride in your community people! Besides that, you have kids playing in their yards with other people's dog $hit laying all around. Nasty!

Well at least in Cary, the dogs' poop doesn't smell.

It's just common courtesy. People are just too lazy I guess to bring and bag and actually clean up. We always bring a bag when we walk our dog. It happens in our neighborhood also. It is always brought up in the monthly newsletter to pick up after your dogs.

Can we stay on topic, here? This posting has nothing to do with whether things smell in Cary vs. other places. Geez. Take your comment somewhere else. We're talking about people not picking up dog droppings.

And yes, it smells in Cary, too.

Actually, I'd like to hear from some of the folks who don't pick up after their dogs. Let's hear your side of the story. Just today, in fact, I saw a young couple on High Meadow with two dogs, watching the dogs doing their business and then walking away. It's non-stop.

LOL, you think people actually own up to it? They only own up to it when you say something to them. If you see people do it and don't say anything, people just keep right on doing it.

My wife and I always pick up after our dog. I thing we need signs that say:

Cleaning up is a duty not a doody.
