Hopefully this means that Houston news media will talk more about UH football than HS football

You lack an understanding of just how much revenue football pulls in. The link below shows Duke University, a school where basketball clearly matters more than football, only made slightly more money from their basketball program than football. If basketball was driving revenues the Big East would still be a Power conference. Schools like UH would've been in a Power conference long ago. Fact is football is the revenue driver, even at "basketball" schools.

Ok, explain this
NCAA study finds all but 20 FBS schools lose money on athletics

While revenue generated by athletics continues to rise, it is being outpaced by expenses, according to an NCAA study of athletic department budgets in 2013.
The report found that expenses exceeded revenue at all but 20 schools in the Football Bowl Subdivision. The average loss among the Power 5 conferences was $2.3 million. At all other FBS schools, it was $17.6 million.
The report did not specify which 20 FBS athletic departments had higher revenues than expenses.

A lot of these departments carry sports that are not profitable, there are very few schools that have football programs of any notoriety that lose money on football.

Great game last Saturday!

I love how Coach Dana ran his mouth about "wrecking Tech" then got his ass handed to him in the second half.

We are the home of Patrick Mahomes.....do not underestimate us! #gunsup

We're pretty much a baseball/basketball school and that is it.

Still...I love it when an opposing coach runs his mouth and we get a chance to flatten them.
