Well that was fast! Conroe will get the Houston area’s first QT this coming January.

A Woodlands location also appears to be in the works. Cleveland TX as well

Houston won't fully get QT's...... it'll only be 4 locations on the far far outskirts. Humble will be the most southern location . None planned for the city of Houston..... similar to the lower grade H.E.B stores never entering the city limits of Dallas.

Good.

Going north, the closest one I've seen is in Corsicana, and I usually stop either there or at the one in Ennis on trips to the DFW metro.

IIRC, the one in Elgin (east of Austin) is the closest to Houston.

I still don't get the appeal of QT's. Use to go them all the time when I lived in Atlanta. A gas station I could go to just to get some gas and maybe a snapple or apple juice. Nothing more nothing less.

Careful careful. 7 eleven was only in the outskirts here originally in 2020 and by the end of the year they were on every corner in the city.

That's because those stores are old...The newer the location the better the experience.

Same with 7-11 as someone mentioned earlier. Dallas would be the place with some older stores that are not as polished as the newer locations(Dallas has NICE locations also).

Same with metro trains and DART trains....I think Houston trains are nicer and they are..but only because the system was created 10 years after DART....With more modern train options.

I like the way they are organized...the flow, and the speed and politeness of the cashiers.

They also have more and better organized 'condiments' for coffee, hot dogs etc (at least that appeal to me) than I've seen at any other convenience store in the U.S. I've seen, except for perhaps Wawa (NJ, Florida, etc.).

If I walk in when a new pizza is just being put out, I'll sometimes get a slice.

In the Atlanta metro, I like the one that I've been to that is fairly close to Truist Park (across the street from a mall, IIRC.....Cumberland Mall ?).

7-11, to me, also seems to be aiming more towards 'niceness' since they bought out Stripes.

IME, they also run the former Stripes locations better than they were run before.

Not the same situation....7-11 made plans to FULLY enter the Houston Market...They were only on the outskirts waiting for the inner city locations to be transferred to their possession.

QT does not have that plan.
