hiya -
planning to visit there tomorrow and have a birthday lunch -- is it good food and a nice place? I understand there's valet parking for the Grove ...is that our best bet if the party includes an elderly person in a transport chair, or would the underground garage parking be better?

if the weather's not too oppressive we wanted to walk around for a bit after lunch...how much time roughly would it take to do the perimeter?
are there attractive gardens or other parts of it that are more 'must see' than others? is the artwork all over the park or in one area, for example?

thanks for any input!

The grove is a great view, nice venue - food is average and a bit pricey but just to go downtown and go to the park it is a nice outing. Not sure about the parking because I've always parked on the street a block or two away and walked over. The park isn't huge so it won't take too long to walk it. It is kind of nice to go and watch the people with the remote controls boats or just watch the kids play in the water fountain or even see all the different dogs people are walking or letting loose in the dog run.

The park isn't that big... I dern know I thought 10+ acres was bigger.
You can see the entire park area from one spot.

Thanks, Texas7 and recuerdeme. You were both right -- it wasn't anywhere near as big as I thought it would be. Still it was big enough in the mid-afternoon heat so we didn't do all the sidewalk/garden strolling. If I hadn't been nicely dressed I would have run thru that Mist Tower myself!

And also correct about the Grove -- just average food and a bit pricey for it -- but a lovely room (I want those green chairs!) with lots of room and a pleasant view. So it was worth the schlep. Thanks again for your input!
