Hi , I'm moving to Houston in February 2009, and I would like to know which areas of Houston you won't recommend for a family , meaning unsecure, bad schools, etc

You need to provide some additional information, or you will receive a lot of generalities that won't help much. Houston is a very large city, so good and bad exist all over the place. In order to get quality responses, you need to narrow down by employment location, price range, type of school, etc. That's the only way to provide help.

true. then again those burbs are not 'Houston'. many of them don't log/report crimes like Houston PD does it. I've heard of crime spree just outside of houston city limits but never makes it into these crime maps (even in houstoncrimemaps.com). i'm sure burbs are safer but theres always the 'more affordable housing' areas to worry about

Perhaps if you like Greenspoint, or maybe if you like living near one of the country's busiest airports.
