I am really hearing great things about Sugar Land, Texas. I hear crime is low, and their school system is excellent, and very diverse. It sounds like a great place to raise a family. How is the job market? My husband works in the criminal justice system. We are also ministers looking to start a future ministry. I plan on visiting this spring.

If you do a search on here for Sugar Land you will find TONS of threads. That is a good place to start.

Also, if you tell us your price range for a home people can give you specific communities to research. There are alot of Sugar Landers on here!

In my opinion Sugar Land is a great place to live. We are planning to move out there next summer. Overall the crime is low and the schools are good, but not all the schools...so when you start looking you will need to look into that more. Missouri City (the part that borders Sugarland) is also nice and in the same district.

I am not sure about the diversity since I do not live there currently.

My family loves living in Sugar Land.

Yes, the crime is low, many of the schools are excellent (but not all...you will want to research particular schools using GreatSchools.net and TEA), and it is definitely very culturally diverse. Not socioeconomically diverse, though, as the median income is high.

There are a ton of churches here...there might be some oversaturation in that area.
