Default sugarland area

Sugarland is not such a big area. it is a city within a city. If you just go and drive around, you will see what you like and what you dont like. Feel free to email me with more questions.

Default Sugar Lakes?

There's also's a possibility you were looking at Venetian Estates or south of 59 in First Colony, at place like Crescent Lakes.

Threre are lots of places "on the water" - Avalon, Bridgewater, several places on Austin Pkwy I can't remember specific names (I think some are Missouri City), the new Riverstone, some of the Highlands, places around the First Colony Post Office, some places around Lost Creek Park, and I'm sure I'm forgetting several others.

Yes, you really like boathouses, right? There are a lot of man-made lakes that doesn't serve much purpose except to stare at it and envy the neighbors. Nobody stands around these lakes in this heat unless they are really going to get in the water.

Sugar Lakes might be another location that would interest you.

Most of the big master-planned communities in Sugar Land have at least one subdivision with waterfront lots.

Lake Alkire might be what the OP saw. It's a pretty impressive area with old native trees and homes on acreage. It's in a good location for Sugar Land, just off 59 before you get to the First Colony area. Lot's of pro ball players buy in Alkire because it's so private. It's an old thread, yes........BUT wanted to share because it's beautiful & I don't think many people know about this lake front neighborhood. It's pretty pricey compared to most of Sugar Land though.

Another Sugar Land post, huh? I counted five separate SL topics just now. I'll never understand the interest and hype in that bland and overrated area.

Not quite. I used to live there, and my parents still live there. There's nothing so special about that town - in my opinion - that warrants all the praise and attention reaped on it by this forum (oftentimes by people from out of state who are picking up on the hype, and further increasing the attention).
