It is State Representative Ellen Cohen's area that has the highest % of educated constituents and advanced degrees in the city. (that would encompass of course the med center, Rice area as previoulsy mentioned.)

Boy, as a half Jewish person (who was raised Catholic) I didn't want to stereotype, but I have to say a neighborhood full of Cohens being highly educated is not very shocking to me.

This is nonsense. Physicians in many medical specialties -- surgery and surgery sub-specialties, cardiologists, gastroenterology, orthopedics, radiology, urology (just to name a few) -- can easily bring in annual salaries in the $400-800K per year range (and that's after paying all admin. overhead, med mal insurance, etc.). If you bring home that kind of money you can probabaly afford a $2m house. If you're married to someone similarly situated (i.e. another physician) then it's obviously even easier. THESE are the people (along with top tier lawyers, top level business executive, and business owners ) -- and not the paltry number of lottery winners and pro ball players -- who buy high end homes in Houston

I was KIDDING!!!! This is a stupid thread. I don't really think Jim Adler's clients, lottery winners & pro ball players are Houstons real buyers in River Oaks! Lol!

I'm fully aware of the amount of income & education it taks to play with the big boys.
