I am considering moving to houston, Where should I live in terms of the best elementary schools(public). I am looking at Pearland, is it suitable for a family with young children?

Budget and work location info - without that - no one can recommend. Houston is LARGE and varied.

You may want to look at greatschools.org . It rates the schools and districts. Someone recently told me that the bond ratings of the school district is really what you want to look for. Pearland is a growing area and yet established area as well. My sister lives on the Friendswood - Pearland border off of 45 South, but is technically in Friendswood but has a Pearland address. Her neighborhood is Sunset Lakes and she seems to really like the day care and the schools. We tried to get her to move back to Cypress, where the schools are awesome as well, but she loves it there. It's closer to the coast and where she is at, they do usually get a scare from the Hurricane's and tornados, but overall nothing has happened to her house other than needing the roof repaired after the last storm. However, that happened all around the entire city where they experienced high winds.
