I always think it's funny that people get excited when "their city" makes a magazine list. Suddenly the same place they've lived in all along is better than it was the day before it made "the list."

Did it change your life to be in a city on a list? Or do you go on with your business every day... enjoying the good things about your city, and grumbling about the bad?

And what happens when it drop's that top rank? Does life suddenly become miserable for you? Or do you just carry on as always?

I love where I live. You could tell me it was ranked #972 one year or #1 the next... it wouldn't change anything in my day to day life.

I've never gone by ratings though .... I love some places that have never made ratings as "best city" and didn't care at all for some that did. We have several great suburban areas/cities and basically they are pretty much all the same - just different sides of town and slightly different look and feel.

It has to be Sugar Land by far due to its diversity, education, salary and very low crime. Sugar Land is very popular in USA.

NOT! Pearland is the best because that's where my sweetheart is and we both live in the same home.

Just sayin'...
