I ht txt spk. Please use complete spellings of words. And please run a spell check. An upscale mall on the Beltline is stupid. The customers simply aren't there. Even Bridge Street couldn't keep all their upscale stores busy. Those types of customers don't drive to Decatur.

Second...an arts center in downtown Decatur as a joint venture between Calhoun Community College and Athens State University? Yes...it's on track: Can ASU/Calhoun put Valley on map as art center? » Local News » The News-Courier in Athens, Alabama plus there are articles in the Decatur Daily practically every week.

Yeah, a better idea is to have MORE BBQ places around here. I had to wait more than half-hour at the Thomas Pit BBQ to get my food.

For a few years it seemed like pizza and catfish restaurants were the only ones opening.

If anything, I'd rather see a outlet complex with stores near our area. Have to drive to Lebanon, TN or Foley for good ones. The ones in Bham are very small and the ones at Boaz have become a joke.
