I was in Huntsville on Friday visiting friends. I no longer live in the area but was home for Thanksgiving. I went to the square and there were quite a few young people there. I am 27 and I found about an even distribution of people younger than me and older than me out having fun.

Now for the bad news, most people I had conversations with were from out of town as well. For some reason a lot of Birmingham people were in town for various reasons.

Well, for the disappointingly small minority whose social lives are not governed by imaginary friends, maybe the young people are hiding in Munford, where there appears to be an interesting talk next month about consilience/.

The square is generally busy on Fri/Sat nights. People bounce around between Humphrey's, Crossroads, Kaffeeklatsch, Mason's, Amendment 21, Club Rush, Sammy Ts, Voodoo Lounge... I wouldn't call it a "hopping" bar scene but there are generally younger people around.

Why don't you just Tweet that you want to meet some young folks or put it on your facebook page. I thought that was how it worked now.
