I heard from my good buddy, YNWA that Bridge Street is officially closing down to become an amusement park. Can someone else confirm this please?

Reguards

I heard the same thing buffer. The city has already started preparing the infrastructure but no one is "officially" talking about the coming amusement park. If you have not driven by Bridge Street lately, it is a mess. The park is years away but they are currently building storm water infrastructure across Voyager Way and Eagle Drive. Watch for the first step toward the amusement park when they build a sophisticated tram from the Space and Rocket Center to Bridge Street. I think we are in for exciting times.

More to come... BusRider out!

That is exactly what YNWA was saying earlier when we had lunch at Panera at Bridge Street. I thought he was pulling my leg and it led to a very disturbing argument later that day. Thank you for clarifying that. I owe him a huge apology.

It is not going to be shutting down. It will be re-purposed (not sure what the ratio is) to add 'amusement' activities --- much like mixed-use malls nowadays. Many (successful) tenants will stay ... as they will be part of the mixed-use concept.

Thanks RatSnake. That makes sense. Hopefully, some of the high-end stores will go away. It is hard to get information about what is coming in. So far, I have heard it will be small scale attractions like bungee jumping, sky diving simulation, and kiddie rides.

@ReggieBusRider - What we need are more Mexican restaurants in the HSV area. This would be a great place to bring in more Mexican cuisine other than that Cantina Lorado.
