I am also a fan. Is it the same company that was there before? Mama Fu's or something like that? Or just happens to be another Asian bistro in the same location?

Aren't they closed?

In any case, from Dec 13, 2013:

Mei Wei Asian Diner at 6290 University Drive in Huntsville: Score of 79
  • Raw chicken was 54F and raw beef was 62F.
  • Open employee drinks were on prep surfaces and also stored above food on a wire shelf.
I'll pass.

Well, crud. We didn't eat at Mei Wei often but we enjoyed it when we did. I hate to hear they messed up like that!

I do believe they have been recently re-evaluated.

Mei Wei is open. They have never been closed. Still a great place to eat.

I agree it is a GREAT place to eat. They had some minor infractions in their health rating several months ago but nothing that would keep me away.

I think I'm thinking about Mama Fu's, which if I remember correctly, was at the same location.

Yup, same location. Mei Wei is better, IMO, than Mama Fu.

Mei Wei has some good food. Eat there often. My only complaint is that a few of the items are pricier than they should be. I usually get their pad thai.
