Same here. I can't get onto gmail using WOW at home. It stalls out on the progress bar, just like you said. On my phone however, it's fine.

Time for everyone to call WOW (256-533-5353).

Been having the same issues here for months! I never stopped to consider that it was Wow slowing things down. I'd dropped these dumb fools at Wow if I could, but our neighborhood is "owned" by them. I'd have to do satellite or cellular to get around them.

Yet again... Madison with more engineers per-capita than any place in the country (and double the rate of Silicon Valley) somehow ends up with worse Internet connectivity than that of Bulgaria (actually, their speeds are quite high if you'd believe it). Why we don't have fiber to the home for the entire area is mind-boggling to me!

Its about population density. Infrastructure only pays of with higher population density.

I called Knology about the issue yesterday and the tech support guy had no idea of the issue and honestly was about as dumb as a box of nails. This is what our high rates pay for.

Fiber is not something magic that will make everything that much better. Most of the rest of the hardware on the Internet is still a bottleneck. Until everybody else catches up Fiber and Gigabit Internet will be a disappointment. The city of Chattanooga found this out after they spent hundreds of millions of dollars to upgrade the city to fiber. Even after all the hype only a small fraction of the potential subscribers signed up for the new Gigabit Internet.

And btw, doing a search for WOW issues is a PITA. Much fun sifting out World of Warcraft search results lol.

Since WOW bought out Knology, service is awful. Customer service is good but the product is awful. Outages, pixilated pictures, slow internet. Wish I had Comcast.
