FYI....

We looked at the area 10 years ago when we moved to town. Still like the concept of living there someday but....

The home that is on the market there has been on the market for a very long time (3-5 years?) , one sold in the past year.

My sense of things is that the developer may have went bankrupt during the economic collapse and the bank foreclosed on the lots. This is pure speculation on my part.....

I ride my bike thru there frequently....there has been very little change for several years.

There are several lots listed for sale in there now that are foreclosures and they are on the local MLS page: http://www.valleymls.com

Lot: 123 Railway Lane-$27,500: Dustin Taylor=

Lot: 102 Railway Lane-$39,900: Dustin Taylor=

Lot: 103 Railway Lane-$39,900: Dustin Taylor=

Lot: 107 Railway Lane-$50,000: Dustin Taylor=

Lot: 108 Railway Lane-$90,000: Dustin Taylor=

Lot: 126 Railway Lane-$149,900: Dustin Taylor=

The schools are: Challenger Elementary, Challenger Middle, and Grissom High.

Hyde Homes has a proposed construction listing at 102 Railway Lane priced at $329,900: Dustin Taylor=

I was there during the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association Parade of Homes in 2003 and the home we looked at that was on the Parade of Homes was still under construction during the Parade of Homes. I think it went into foreclosure before the builder finished it but it was a very nice home with an elevator and other upscale features. I have not been back down there since then.
