I typically use Capshaw and Old Monrovia interchangably, just like Jeff and Slaughter.

72 is often referred to as "University Drive" because most people really have no idea where the "University Dr." naming actually begins or ends. We all just simply call it University from the parkway all the way through Madison even though it really isn't designated as University Dr. in Madison.

Hwy 231 is Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, Brindlee Mountain Parkway in Arab, Thronton Taylor Parkway on the bypass section in Fayetteville and I have noticed it being called some other forms of the parkway in other towns and in each, everyone simply calls it "The Parkway." So everyone that has either grown up around here or lived here any length of time knows exactly which road you are speaking of when you say "The Parkway."

Everyone calls Research Park Blvd "Rideout Road" because that is what it was originally called up until some of the nimrod city officials decided to rename it Research Park Blvd. Most of the long time locals still call it Rideout and forget at times about the rename to Research. It will always be Rideout Road to me, I just can't get it out of my head. It is sort of stupid to change names on roads especially when part of it retains the previous name. It just causes confusion.
