I had a bottle of wine along with $60 worth of other groceries in the checkout lane and the cashier refused to sell me the bottle of wine because my teenage daughter was shopping with me. After she called the manager who mumbled something about I might be some sort of agent and also refused I decided not to buy the other $60 worth of groceries and walked out. That will be my last visit to the Madison Walmart.

It looks like it happens quite a bit...

Shame on Walmart managers for putting cashiers through this type of confrontation.

Dumb policy that just adds stress to a tough job. Dealing with the public ain't easy.

Next time you want some wine just take your teenage daughter to the liquor store. Problem solved.

Otherwise, take your whine someplace else.

Your in alabama, don't you understand?
Why should you be allowed to besmirch your daughters soul by trying to force a store to sell you cheap guttersnipe Gallo?

I actually had that happen to me in Publix when I was with my 29 year old gf... they carded her and she didn't have her ID and they wouldn't budge. Ridiculous.

That is ridiculous. I was there a half hour later; I could have bought the wine for you and transferred in parking lot; just ridiculous policy.

I had this happen to me in Miami Fl at a publix. I had my boyfriend with me who was 20 and was weeks away from turning 21 I was 25 we were even buying separate!! Dude threated to call police and would not even discuss it with me. Totally stupid and I have never heard about it happening anywhere else.
