I was wondering if there's a good place online to post an ad for hiring a person to prepare meals for me.

I thought about posting on Craigslist, but I'm not too eager about getting a bunch of calls from old crazy women.

Any advice on where to post would be appreciated

Any local trade schools with a culinary program in Huntsville? What is your need and budget?

Drake has a culinary program. I've been to events catered by Drake and they were pretty good.

Old crazy women are usually a delight all on their own. Old crazy MEN, OTOH... (spoken by someone who worked in a state mental hospital and has first hand experience)

If you want a mechanic for a Mercedes, you don't cast about for Bubba who knows all about his Ford pickup.

You would want to specify what types of cooking you prefer, food sensitivities, hours, pay, food budget, etc. You can probably still get "Cook" who comes to your home, but expect to pay a whole lot more than in the 1950s. If you don't, watch the movie "The Help" and NEVER ask for chocolate pie.

Remember that a crazy old woman is less likely to walk off with the silverware than a young student with college debt and a drug habit.

There's a lady in my neighborhood that has a business that does just that. I can't think of the name of it right now, but I'll try to find out.

I think this is it http://www.ibegin.com/directory/us/a...w-trl/contact/

I'm not looking for a professional chef, just a drug-free female who knows how to cook and is looking to make some money from it.

meals would be simple stuff, something like sandwiches for lunch and a basic entree for dinner.

If I provide the materials for meals, I would pay no more than $40 a week.

If the preparer provides the materials for meals, I would pay $70.

It would need to be a neighbor methinks for that rate. I wouldn't bother to fix my hair or put on makeup and get in my car every day for $40.

I actually did do dinner for someone 5 days per week (often made many meals in 1 or 2 days and then carried them all over and froze some.. but I got quadruple that amount.

Perhaps call one of the many places that deliver meals these days.
