My bad, someone sent me the link and I thought it was new. I suppose we'll just have to keep waiting for the next delay.

I'm not so sure you messed up. On the right side are up-to-date stories (one of them is about Tropical Storm Barry), so it's possible the writer of the article just forgot to change the date.

That article IS from March of this year. It was written after the March 8th town hall meeting with Will Culver at Williams School.

The date given for Martin in the article was accurate at the time and is probably still close. You can basically add 18 months to the actual start of road construction to figure a completion date. If they started now, they would likely finish sometime in early 2021. If utility relocation drags on into the mid to late fall then completion is likely early summer of 2021. Reed Construction has basically tried to do any feasible work that they can on the project but has been limited by conflicts with utilities. They tried to jump start the road construction two weeks ago with the lane shift but discovered that a buried utility cable was going to prevent them from doing much earth-moving work.

The date given for Zierdt is actually incorrect though that is what Scott Leach said in the meeting. He intended to say Fall 2021 but said Fall 2022. I confirmed that he misspoke in speaking with him after them meeting. I would guess at this point that we are more likely looking at early 2022 based on current progress. The contractor is three months in on the Zierdt/Madison Blvd intersection and still has quite a bit of work to do there. They might be done there by late fall pending the utility relocation (water, gas, electric) that's on-going along Shelton between Building 7800 and Steak Out.

The info given for Phase II of Martin is now incorrect. The earliest that work will even start is mid-2020 and that's pending funding availability. I figured this was going to be the case once the work on Martin was split into two phases. If road work actually starts mid-2020, it going to be early 2022 before that section is finished. If that's when utility relocation starts, then it's going to be quite a bit later than that before the road is finished.

I couldn't help but notice, since I travel the route daily, usually several times, that very little work has been done in the past few weeks on the section of Zierdt from Edgewater north to Madison Blvd, and that includes the intersection at Madison Blvd. There appears to be some drainage work going on near the Drake Well, but otherwise not much at all. I seem to remember that they said at the last briefing (a couple of months ago) that Zierdt southbound from the intersection to at least the Town Madison entrance would be paved, but it has not been.

Because of the short turn lane, and perhaps traffic signal holding length, during the evening rush it can take close to 30 minutes from Exit 13 to make the turn southbound onto Zierdt.

Things just keep poking along ....
