I understand and I actually wondered if that could happen. There is only iron fencing in the front so if it would be necessary to take it down and replace it with wood that wouldn't be too expensive. Are there any restrictions about sheds? I have seen a lot of them in the neighborhood but I met a realtor at a hair salon yesterday and he said he wasn't sure you could have a shed there.

I have to say the past houses I have purchased I never had so many questions and Hmmmmms.

Yes, sheds are supposed to be of the same construction as the property...brick. Again, there are alot of violations in the neighborhood, just no one to inforce them. If the HOA is established, all CCR violations will be up for dispute and the HOA will win every time.

Lexington is a prime example of why HOAs are so important.

I for one want a HOA so that these things CAN be rectified...we have stuck to CCRs on everything we have done and it irritates me that there are others who have not.

Can you put brick on a structure that doesn't have a cement foundation? I have been told that it wouldn't hold. It is too heavy. I guess you couldn't just go out and purchase a shed at Lowe's because they aren't brick. You would have to have one custom built and structurally sound.

I have been researching brick veneer and with a building that large I think it could cost thousands of dollars. I'm just not sure I want the hassle.
