Finally, the sun is out. I'm so very tired of rain and gray skies. Is the sun shining in other area of Madison County?

Reminds me of an old joke that goes around Boeing... that whenever the sun comes out in Seattle, they make an announcement on the P.A. and everyone goes outside to look.

It's funny that you say that. When I was moving to Seattle everyone told me how beautiful the surrounding mountains were. After living there a couple of months and having not seen a single mountain the entire time I figured everyone was full of crap. I was on my way to work one morning when the clouds lifted and was shocked to the point of almost wrecking my car when I noticed how big and close the mountains were and how crappy the weather had been to be able to keep me from noticing them for so long...

I was out with my girlfriend last week and she was complaining about the weather and asked if it was bothering me as well and I told her after living in Seatlle for 5 years, this is nothing.!!

Same here in Minnesota.

We haven't seen the sun since last Wednesday, below normal temps, and over 3 inches of rain since them.

Sunny skies lifts the mood after a long absence.

And the rain returns. What a way to spend fall break.
