Do all the communities have natural gas or is it specific to only certain communities?

No, natural gas is NOT in all communities...if an all electric home has gas logs, for instance, they typically run those off of smaller propane tanks. Not too unsightly. You can also have them buried, but that can be costly!

Just curious: How many people use the fireplace? Especially if it's one that you'd have to hassle with an external source of power (propane tank, logs). Same for the jetted tub. To me these are things I can live without (and actually do, I have them, but never or twice used), and I would gladly pay less not to have them . Just like the "crown moulding" topic. They just come standard nowadays. And I'm sure we pay thru the nose. Hijack over.

You hit the nail on the head. Many people rarely use their fireplace or jetted tub, but it's typically number one on my buyers lists...my experience has been that a home will sell quicker than a similar home without a fireplace. I love having a mantle, lol.
