Haha, I didn't even play it that far. lol. 960mb, 91kt winds.
Seriously that would have been the best case scenario for Savannah long term. Strong enough to damage weak homes but not the catastrophe that they will eventually get hit with. hopefully that scenario would be enough for them to embrace the kind of building codes that are used here in Florida.
This. People couldn't care less if we have a drought. All people care about is if it inconveniences them in any way, screw the environment.
I still hear people complain about rain down here, even though we've had an exceptionally dry summer. If it messes up their hair or ruins their beach day, people complain. Self-centered ****s.
You realize we're in an extreme drought. We do NEED the rain. The months of May-October are really the main months we can count on to get ample precipitation, if we don't get them we get major wildfires in the Everglades and can lead water shortages. Just because we're not an arid state doesn't mean that drought is a good thing.
And yes, I see plenty of brown lawns and browning trees around. The only ones that aren't are the ones that overfed by sprinklers (which are a huge strain on the groundwater). After this rain moves through, I'm sure the drought will be relieved.
Stop being so self-centered. Just because I'm not thirsty or dying doesn't make this drought any better.
