Literally, asking for a friend in Twin: The male of her pair of birds has flown off, apparently for real, despite the loving care she gave him (and still renders to the female), and she is looking for a replacement for the female's companionship; was raised with an Afr grey, and friend would prefer, tho macaw would also suit, since is the breed of the now-absent male.
Any and all leads to caring birders are welcome. I am in Boise, and also placing wanteds for Twin friend, as well as looking into the one 'pet store' here.
Gosh. I wouldn't give a parrot to anyone who allowed their parrot to fly off into freezing weather. I don't feel that is a safe home, not taking proper precautions so that the bird couldn't get outside. Doubly so when any parrot who escapes is going to die from the weather.
