I've been offered a job in Twin Falls and am wondering about the schools and where to live. I am looking to compare communities within twin falls or Kimberly; best area to live, places to avoid, etc. I would also like to know about the surrounding towns Twin Falls, Buhl, Kimberly, Filer..... School districts, specifically high school. I'm leaning toward Kimberly but rentals there are sparse. I found a small place between Filer and Buhl, so any information on those school systems would be great also.

Thanks!

I would lean towards Kimberly, Twin and Filer. Not Buhl, sorry but its just not doing well right now. $150 a month just for water and sewer service. Both towns I mentioned are close enough to Twin Falls for a daily commute. And yes, rentals are sparse and expensive right now. In Twin, avoid the Numbered streets below 9th, and only the last 3 or 4 streets of the President streets (Lincoln, Buchanan etc are ok) NE or Nw or far East of town is better than other areas. Any questions, just ask!

Yup. And the Mormon culture is more pronounced here as well.
But that doesn't mean you won't enjoy living in Twin. It just takes some getting used to.
There are lots of Mormons in Arizona, and I expect you already know some. The LDS in Idaho aren't very different. And if you are religious, Twin Falls has a lot of non-LDS affiliation churches of all faiths.

I don't know how Wendell and Jerome are doing these days, but both are other small towns close to Twin you might want to check out. Hagerman is smaller than either, but it's a particularly beautiful spot that has a pleasant climate and may also bear looking over.

Most of the countryside around Twin Falls is big farm country, and the dairy industry there is particularly large; a lot of California dairymen sold out in Cali and moved to the Twin Falls area over the years.
