I just love the "unanimously" part of that. I don't want to get into a political discussion, so I will leave it at that.

Interesting stuff just went on in central Idaho-
Salmon just failed to pass a new school building bond for the 8th time. All their schools are falling apart- the high school has a big open crack in one corner, right in the middle are of the front that is held together with roofing tar- and the bond proposal was to build one new school that would serve all the grades, for a cost of $14 million.

Now, a magic number has been reached. Apparently if a school bond fails a certain amount of times, the state can come in and decide what is to be done. The state pays for whatever the decision is, but Salmon still has to re-pay the state, just as if it was a bond.

The decision is being debated right now. The state options are:
- a $3.5 million remodel
- The proposed new building @ $14 million
- Nothing at all
- The state creates a new proposal

Apparently, the $3.5 million remodel is what is most likely to happen. I think that when the old school buildings are opened up to uncover the structures, the remodel is gonna cost at least twice as much.

More than anything, I'm sad Salmon couldn't have reached a decision on their own 8 years ago. I think there must have been some other partial measures offered over such a long time that were eventually taken off the table.

Default Update on HB192

3-25-13
Today the Idaho Senate voted unanimously to pass House Bill 192, an important Right to Carry improvement bill. Introduced by the House State Affairs Committee and cosponsored by state Representative Joe Palmer (R-20), HB 192 would create an enhanced concealed carry license option for those applicants who choose to undergo additional training for more carry benefits. If enacted, HB 192 would also create more opportunities for reciprocity with other states. HB 192 already passed in the state House unanimously last month.
Thank you to Idaho Senators and Representatives for their overwhelming support (NRA-ILA)

Sure would be nice to have reciprocity for a person like myself, from Wisconsin, to be able to use my concealed license in Idaho

Idaho honors concealed weapon permits from all states that issue one.

From: Concealed Weapons License Information Idaho have reciprocity agreements with any other states If so what states

Does Idaho have reciprocity agreements with any other states? If so what states?
Yes. Idaho has signed reciprocity agreements with Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming.
Also, Idaho recognizes valid concealed weapons licenses from all states. Idaho does not require specific reciprocity agreements with the other states. See above.
Some states, such as those listed above, do require reciprocity agreements. Those states have specifically negotiated reciprocity agreements with Idaho.
If you are in doubt about a particular state’s reciprocity requirement, it is best to check with that state to determine its concealed weapons policy.
This bill would be a benefit to those in Idaho who apply for and receive the new permit and visit states who do not honor Idaho's current permit. The reciprocity agreements would still have to be negotiated with the new permit system and individual states would still be able to deny reciprocity for any reason.

Default Update on HB192

Yesterday, Idaho Governor Butch Otter (R) signed an important right to carry reform into law. House Bill 192 passed in both chambers of the Idaho Legislature unanimously. This bill was introduced by the House State Affairs Committee and advanced by Senator Chuck Winder (R-20) and state Representative Joe Palmer (R-20). HB 192 will create an enhanced concealed carry license option for those applicants who choose to undergo additional training for more carry benefits, and creates expanded opportunities for reciprocity between Idaho and other states. These improvements will take effect on July 1 of this year. (NRA-ILA)
