I will be driving though and need a spot for myself and a small dog...do you know of something clean and safe that you would recommend?

Thanks

I've stayed at the La Quinta Appleway several times but it has since changed hands to a Quality Inn. It's convenient since it is right next to the I-90 and US95 and there are a lot of eating places within easy walking distance. They allow pets too.
When I head up there soon, I'll be staying there again.

I stayed in Day's Inn with my dog. It was inexpensive and cleaner than some of the other inexpensive hotels I stayed in on my way up to CDA. I called and made reservations to make sure I got a room that allowed pets instead of booking online.

No, I was just checking out Post Falls, CDA, and Hayden to see if I want to move there. I came in from the east through Sandpoint and down. I love it up there.

We picked up the hotel coupon books in the rest areas of each state and used the coupons from it to stay at places on a budget we were content with. We had some hits and some misses along the way. The brand new Holiday Inn Express on Seltice was 99.99 a night via the coupon book (I believe it's normally 160+ online). It was fantastic though I do not know what their policy on pets are.

We just got back from CDA & this is where we stayed:
CDA Lake Silver Beach Vacation Unit

She gave us a great rate for the week and the area is beautiful! I don't know if she allows dogs, but she did have 2 dogs of her own, so I'm assuming she would. Anyways, have safe travels & hopefully you find a good place to rest for the night.
