There is a good article posted at www.IdahoFallsToday.com (broken link) that has information about the State Fair.

Look out for that $3.00 water.

I didn't see information about the entry cost to the event. Does anyone know how much it costs to go in. Free?

$1 for kids 11 and under, $5 for 12 and up. All day ride bracelet is $30, but watch out if it is going to rain alot of rides will stop, although they started after a spell even though it was still raining, nothing like being buffetted by winds and pelted with ice cold rain while spinning around upside down!

Parking is easy, we paid a lady $5 to park on her lawn one block from entrance.

What I found most impressive at the fair were the inside exhibits, flowers from people's yards, incredible cakes, photography, children's projects, quilts, antiques, scrapbooking, dolls, etc. ad nauseum.

Usually none of that stuff interests me, but I came away with a real appreciation for the talent and creativity in the area, of which I had no idea.

Don't know about $3 water, but that was the price of beer.

I'm thinking the beer is a better value.

Yep, that and the lemonade, and the 75 cent coffee. Plenty of water falling from the sky.

Default $3 water

We found that $3 water. I was so thirsty. Tried 3 machines ($1 each, none had any water. I went to a booth and low and behold, $3. Right around the corner was another booth with $1.25 water.
