I can second that. On the way here, a deer ran in front of a Motorcycle and he went head over heels into the trees through a bob wire fence. One buddy told me yesterday he has had 3 different wrecks with deer. If you fortunate enough to see the thing slowdown and be prepared. If you can avoid it do not drive at night.

I came up to Northern Idaho last year and learned to drive in the snow. Slow, slow, slow. Give yourself as much time to stop as possible. Get the best winter tires you can for your vehicle, but be careful not to overestimate the power of 4x4, chains or winter/siped tires. No vehicle can maintain much traction on icy roads, 4x4 or not.

Even if the plows clear a lane, it's only a slip of your attention and you drift over a foot from the cleared road into the ice and snow, and all your vehicles traction and braking ability is lost.

Either get the new employer to pay for a mover or take it slow, slow, slow and drive during daylight hours only.

Good luck and have a safe trip.
