Can anyone tell me about Salmon, Idaho? We are considering various locations in Idaho including Salmon.

I have done some research on the town but was hoping for some additional information from someone living there or around it (although there is nothing around it for miles.)

We are especially curious about the healthcare facilities and also how much is the area in the desert or if it's a bit of a mix there.

Any information is always appreciated. Thanks.

Thirteen years ago I had to have two major surgeries both of them done in Salmon. I was in the old hospital then and had wonderful care fine doctors great food. Since then they have built a new hospital and I have not been back that way to even see it.

Do a Google search and type in Steele Memorial Medical Center to find what services they provide.

I really liked Salmon. We lived in Challis and Clayton 60 and 85 miles away. Salmon was a nice trip for shopping.
