Lets be fair here --- anyone else remember who W's bestest amigo was? Vincente Fox. W was a massive cheerleader for Mexico and for illegal immigration. As was Clinton before him, Bush the Elder before that and the biggest of them all Reagan the Amnestyater.

Politicians of both stripes want illegal immigration. They want the money that businesses raked in when using undocumented serfs and they want the votes that said serfs bring every twenty or so years when they get emancipated....er, I mean amnestied.

Hate to break it to you all but dems and reps do not have the American publics interest at heart - nor do they give a rats azz for the illegals. They only care for the money and the power.

did I say that it made a right? No, I didn't. My point is that we have been consistently sold out by our politicians for decades and that just because a pol may have an 'R' behind their name does not guarantee that they will be for states rights and for the enforcement of immigration laws. Only a podunk partisan hack may believe that.

The Country of Mexico HAS NOT Filed Suit Against Arizona Immigration Law.

They submitted a legal brief supporting one of the existing 5 lawsuits - filed by Americans.

That's not a lawsuit against Arizona.

That's a brief submitted to the court as an interested party in the court's decision.

BIG difference between suing someone, and submitting a brief in a court proceeding.

The states have absolutely NO power, except on issues about which the federal government has remained mute.

Amendment 10
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor
prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to
the people.

The federal government is not mute on matters of due process for persons suspected of a crime. Therefore, on such matters, the states are powerless. 28 words. Why doesn't anybody read them?
