They say the unemployment rate among African American Males from disadvantaged backgrounds (Ghetto Blacks) is over 50% in many Cities. All the while Illegal Immigrants from countries all over the world are still flooding into the country taking the jobs that Black Men use to do. My friend, who is a regional manager for a large restaurant chain in a metro area with a high African American population, says very few Blacks work in the kitchen, bus tables or do the janitor work commonly filled by unskilled workers. Rarely do you see Black People doing construction anymore.
Why aren't the African American Males doing these jobs anymore? Do employers consider them not as hard working as the immigrants?
If they aren't doing these jobs anymore it is because illegals have the ability to undercut the wages. They work off the books, for cash at the end of the day -- American blacks/whites/whatevers cannot afford to live on the wages that illegals get.

I think you might be on to something here. We can solve all the nation's current problems if we deport everyone who is here illegally and force black people from the ghetto to take their jobs. The same enforcement agency who rounds up hispanics at night could herd the black people to work during the day. Kinda "two birds=one stone" thingy.
For one - why would it have to be blacks? Shouldn't anyone needing money be willing to work?
Do they have the opportunity to take these jobs? Many jobs are now denied anyone who isn't fluent in Spanish. The recruiters will head to Mexico not the inner cities to recruit their cheap labor -- and why not? If they bring in truckloads of illegals, they can pay them low wages, even illegally low wages, they are allowed to disregard all labor and wage laws, no over time must be paid, no workman's comp, no social security tax. No health insurance benefits.
If they hire Americans white or black, the employers would have to abide by other laws like overtime pay, and Americans tend to want to receive decent enough wages for hard work. It's not as acceptable to an American to work hard and still live off government handouts but the illegals don't have a problem taking food stamps, government housing and be working.

Also don't forget - the blacks were brought here in the first place to be the ultra cheap hard workers of a previous generation. Do we now want to go back to the earlier tradition of finding some lowly group of people we can enslave? When they complain, they are released and put on welfare and a new group brought in to replace them? Wouldn't that be unsustainable in time?
Then we did away with slavery - but now many are trying to bring it back in a slightly different form. Not blacks this time but browns. Another inferior class of people to be the cheap servants and workers for the elites who don't believe in paying wages someone can live on.
Many blacks join the military and go do extremely dangerous work - and many leave the ghetto this way - so you can't claim that blacks won't work.
I highly doubt it, because of welfare and entitlement. They love to brag about gaming the system.
Before illegal aliens took over, blacks [and other disadvantaged Americans] did most menial jobs like picking crops, cleaning, meat packing, etc. Undercutting wages caused disadvantaged Americans to drop out. Americans pay more to their country so they need to be paid more. Illegals only need money to send it back to their home country.
