Nice propaganda but how does that undermine border security or invalidate the need for the wall? No one ever said that the wall was impenetrable but it's highly doubtful that illegals will be able to penetrate it at the rate of a million per year doing this. These are young fit girls, now let's see a 8-1/2 month pregnant woman seeking to drop an anchor baby do it.

And it took them 18 seconds to touch the top, double it to actually get over it and slide down. That gives a border patrol agent with a pair of binoculars a good opportunity to be waiting on the other side or on their way.

As for "better ways" to deal with illegals, by all means implement those as well. It's not an either/or situation.

I've seen the border fence many times in many places along the CA and AZ border. It won't stop a healthy, determined person on foot, but it will slow a person down for a bit. I have seen a group of people hop the fence using a hardware store aluminum extension ladder, and ten people were up and over the fence in barely a minute.

The fence prevents cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVS from having unrestricted access across the border. That means people who get past the border fence are on foot, carrying whatever survival gear they need for a really long walk in their hands or on their back. That reduces their chances of a successful border crossing by a huge amount. Trying to cross the vast deserts of the southwestern US on foot at any time of year is a dangerous journey, and not just from the natural elements.

OK, so getting past the fence on foot is not that difficult, but it's no easy task for an illegal immigrant to walk across the desert and reach a safe place where they can find a roof over their head and a way to earn a living without being exploited. I would certainly not encourage two healthy, pretty young women to cross the border and attempt such a journey on their own.

I wonder how many people who don't believe in fences have taken down their own fences from around their homes, and keep their doors unlocked and opened.

If fences don't work at all, then why do we have fences around zoos, parks, schools, prisons? Many politicians have fences around their own homes. Why would people be wasting all this money on fences?

They touched the top quickly only because the US has not turned up the juice to electrify them. When they are done, the volts will be so high, it will start to arc like a hot dog cooker. So, no need to worry about the tall easy fence.

Just kidding of course!

$4,000,000 a mile huh?

Could seed one mile of terrain with landmines for about $3,000(and that's assuming heavy saturation since they cost only a few dollars each), would work much better too.
