So what is your point exactly? End result is still the same... illegal aliens cannot get a license...

Mark one up for America, one more reason for illegal aliens to go home

She is off to a good start. Maybe she can help turn their economy around. I love NM, a beautiful state, would be nice to see it prospering.

If she keeps it up - maybe she should be considered for a White House run. There's something I like about Martinez more than Palin, not sure what it is.

Wrong...My response, [MY POINT EXACTLY], was to the thought by the poster that "the Governor's E.O. was following the law".

The current law...Voted for by the people of New Mexico, is to allow illegal aliens the privilege to test for a New Mexico State Driver's Lincense.

The Governor's Executive Order is not adhering to the vote of the people of New Mexico...

Show us a poll indicating that the people of New Mexico want to grant driver's licenses to illegal migrants who don't speak English. The truth is that most Americans want good honest rational laws on immigration. We don't want to laws based around the needs of low skilled, non-English economic migrants and their desire to use American tax dollars. We don't want to fund their medical bills or their schooling or their desire to take seven dollar an hour jobs and pay nothing in taxes. We don't want bilingual education programs based around the notion that actually learning the language of a place that you have voluntarily moved to is an insult.

The truth is that most Americans want laws that work to their benefit and not the benefit of some idiot pandering pol. Were Americans really asked there would be no DREAM act, no anchor babies, no right to an education because you crossed the boarder without permission, no state funded interpreters, no emergency room care for illegal migrants unless they told us where to send the bill.

Most Americans do not support illegal migration, let alone the notion that doing so should allow you any benefit at all. We want people here who speak fluent English, immigrate legally and show loyalty to this country instead of contempt.

It's refreshing to see a pol who finally understands that fact.

Elections do have consequences, don't they?

We are going to see laws like this throughout those states that elected GOP governors and have a GOP trifecta in the state - Gov, house, senate.

IL, CA, NY will welcome all the illegals fleeing from other states, won't they?

Quote:
Martinez also stated one of her first priorities is to revoke driver licenses issued to illegal aliens, pointing out since Arizona passed SB 1070, illegal aliens have been pouring in to New Mexico, which does not require proof of citizenship to obtain licenses.

Former Gov. Bill Richardson, an open borders advocate, further exacerbated the problem by banning Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) clerks from asking applicants if they were legally present.
Why do democrats do such things?
