1,000,000 jobs go to "immigrants" in 2008-2010. (born, illegal aliens, unemployment)

Over the past two years, as U.S. unemployment remained near double-digit levels and the economy shed jobs in the wake of the financial crisis, over a million foreign-born arrivals to America found work, many illegally.
I was just fixing to post a new thread. Glad I scrolled down.

Often young and unskilled or semi-skilled, immigrants have taken jobs Americans could do in areas like construction, willing to work for less wages. Others land jobs that unemployed Americans turn up their noses at or lack the skills to do.
With a national unemployment rate of 9.4 percent, domestic job creation is at the top of President Barack Obama's agenda and such findings could add to calls to tighten up on illegal immigration. But much of it is Hispanic and the growing Latino vote is a key base for Obama's Democratic Party.
What more needs to be said? It has been proven over and again the detriment of allowing illegal aliens into this Country. This should have been stopped decades ago!!

"Take Our Jobs". The slogan meant that if Americans wanted their jobs, then take them. But it is likely they don't.
I signed up for this "twice" about a year ago. Both times they came back telling me that was no openings and I was put on a waiting list(s).........I'm still waiting.

it just so happens that some of the candidates who we select are legal immigrants.
It means they have the skills we are looking for," he said.
The issue here is about hiring "illegal" immigrants.
The "take our jobs" was a sham setup by the union concerned anyway. It was just taking a swipe at Americans about "jobs they won't do" yada yada..........
I am getting SO tired of immigrants and illegals being lumped together both in studies AND on reports in the media.

Do you know anyone with a college degree who would want to earn $7/h for picking strawberries? I can assure you, if anyone on this board really wanted to go pick strawberries for a living that they can.
edit: I agree with the prior statement about the lack of differentiation b/w undocumented aliens and legal immigrants.

There's no "buts" about it.
They set up the system and I followed the program. Then they back out when some DOES sign up for a job. Which they weren't expecting.
