I don't get what ever the big deal is supposed to be. Many countries autmatically give cisitzenship to the fofspringof their natural born citizens regardless of place of birth. Nothing special needs to be done, your child is born >citizen, based on parentage. I find the notion that then, when you're born with dual citizenship which only gives you advantages and no disadvantages, you'd have to go out of your way and officially renounce that second citizenship in order to be an upstanding American...well, that's just silly and unreasonable. And irrational.
The citizenship of the Japanese Americans was never compromised.
They locked them up even while agreeing they remained citizens.

I would think what Mexico is doing is far more rational than what we did. Not justifying gross cruelty or sadistic behavior...but tightly defending the border.

Read my note again. Strongly enforcing a border is what the Mexicans are doing and have been doing. Are there abuses? Maybe. But that is a secondary problem. And we have a few here who want to shoot to kill...

Not only that but it wasn't "we" the people of the U.S. that allowed or condoned this illegal invasion, it was our government. I'll be damned if "we" should pay for their mistakes by allowing millions of illegal invaders to be rewarded with amnesty from our government's lack of protection of our borders. They had better clean this mess up and it won't be through any damned amnesty either. They already know how the majority of Americans feel about that and they will have hell to pay if they try it.
