You do have a valid point. Look being soft up until now, has not been the answer, if we do not get tough, no matter how tough tough is, we may never ever from this point on, get a hold on illegal immigration. Sometimes tough love is better then no love at all?

Desperate times require desperate measures. And, these are indeed desperate times. In case you don’t know, it is not only Mexicans “seeking a better life” who are breaching our border security. The Mexican drug cartels and terrorist organizations are all taking advantage of our porous borders. Why would they not? This is much more than simply an issue of illegal immigration. This is a VERY serious national security threat, and every citizen should be concerned.

Sorry, but I believe it's inhumane to have alligators in the desert with no water.

And you are not considering all the alligators that could step on the mines...

Wow...on that last comment. You are aware that we Americans have the "one drop rule", right?

Whaddya mean we?.......not me. The first I'd heard of it was about 6 months ago. It was something halle barry was saying about her child. I would disagree.

Same with me as well. The Hispanic GOP is just in bed with the illegal alien crowd as the Democrats. Plus, can we just call a spade a spade? The "Hispanics" in this country that all the pundits and politicians talk about are specifically Mexican-Americans that make up 2/3 of the Hispanic population. They can care less about anyone else since we are a puny voting bloc compared to Mexican-Americans with different issues

Zac, you know that isn’t true. MOST crossed the border illegally. Only an estimated 40% are visa overstays.

Roughly 40 percent of illegal immigrants in the United States simply overstayed their legal visas once they are in the country, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has limited resources to identify and remove these overstays, congressional investigators reported Tuesday.
