Has it even been noticed? My wife and I have opened more Bank of America accounts in the interim, because we can send money to my Mother-in-Law in Mexico cost-free, in optimal conditions taking about two hours for her to be able to pick it up. How are they ¨assisting¨ illegal aliens?

BofA has absolutely nothing to complain about. They set out to destroy the USA and while they were gouging Americans, they were giving free money transfer programs to illegals -- helping to send billions of untaxed dollars out of the country. They can be the new Bank of Mexico but we don't need banks like this.
I don't know. So they can save some face and end their pathetic, ineffective gesture without admitting it had no effect, most likely.
They just want media attention since no one gives a crap about their "boycott".
