Did you read the story linked in the OP? Please explain how it discriminates against citizens. The bill would prevent ANYONE from being arrested if their only offense is not having a license. It doesn't give special preference to illegals or anyone else.

I highly doubt that's the goal of this law, or else why not just do away with the requirement to drive with a valid drivers license in the state of California and no one has to go through the hassle of getting a drivers license.

Why have a law if the malamute's of the world aren't going to understand it is a better question. This isn't about non-enforcement of the law.

And embezzlers just gave themselves an undocumented raise or bonus in the workplace, tax evaders just have undocumented taxes. Shoplifters are undocumented customers.

Obviously the law will have them profiling but American citizens can fake a foreign accent and claim to be here illegally and so then would not have to have a drivers license when driving. It might not be as easy to fake illegal status if you look and act like an American so I would think to be on the safe side they should just eliminate the requirement to have a drivers license when driving all together.
Or can white Americans just say they are here illegally from Europe, blacks can say they're here illegally from Haiti or somewhere else, and hispanics of course can also pretend to be here illegally if they don't have a drivers license - even if they are citizens.

Oh I did read it. The one clown in there insists EVERYBODY needs to drive and will drive with or without a license.
So just eliminate the requirement for anyone to have a drivers license and assume that those who need to or want to drive will drive whether or not they are given a license, just like the guy in that article insists.
And why are we spending billions on mass transportation systems since as this guy says, everyone must be allowed to drive?
